Smokey Mountain Lacquers Fall Collection 2014, Part 1

Today I've got the first half of the Smokey Mountain Lacquers' Fall Collection, which releases on Monday. There are eight colors in total and yes, you should be excited! There are two multichromes, one holo, one creme, and four shimmers. I love how on-trend these are, with some great basics and more adventuresome shades. Check them out after the break...

*two sent by maker for photography and others purchased*

Forsaken is a dark shimmer that hovers between a red and a brown. There is also scattered holo that is strongly apparent on the nail. This is opaque in two coats, though I am wearing it here with three. Very easy formula that dries super-shiny. Scattered holographic shimmer in a deep brown ruby shimmer base. Three coats.

Golden Flame is a burgundy-gold-green sheer multichrome. I love this type color! It can be worn opaque on its own in four coats or layered over another dark color. If worn on its own, I recommend thin coats to aid the speed of drying. Color-shifting burgundy-to-green multichrome shimmer in a sheer black base. Four coats.

Indecent Exposure is a warm, light nude with apricot tones. It is a good French shade against my warm, pale skin tone with one coat, but I layered it to opacity in four thin coats. It is a fantastic neutral and really refreshing for me after all the wild colors I have been wearing lately! The finish is extremely shiny, even without top coat. Blond creme. Four coats.

The second multichrome in the collection is Twilight Adventure. This one has even more color shifts than Golden Flame. It starts off with a teal-blue and move through magenta all the way to green, though that is hard to capture in photos. This is another sheer color that can be worn opaque on its own in four thin coats or layered over another dark shade. Color-shifting dark cerulean-to-magenta-to-green multichrome shimmer in a sheer black base. Four coats.

These will be available on Monday - 15ml full size bottles sell for $7.95 and 5ml minis are $3.95. This is a great deal, in my opinion, for some really beautiful shades! I will be back in a few days with the second half of the collection.

Smokey Mountain is made in Tennessee by husband and wife team Kim and Brent. Their formula is 5-free and is super-glossy.
