GG Indie Polish Gemstone Jellies Collection

Love jelly glitters? Then I have a collection for you!  GG Indie Polish is releasing the Gemstone Jellies Collection this coming Friday. It is inspired by five different gemstones and sparkles with holo glitter. I love this collection because my mom is a jeweler and I was completely obsessed with gemstones as a child - as in I dog-eared her gemology books, haha. Generally this collection had great dry times, easy formulas, and smoothed out well with a plump top coat. Check them out after the break!

Alexandrite features holo and lavender glitters in a sheer Byzantine purple jelly base. I wore it here with four thin coats. Alexandrite is a type of chrysoberyl that changes color based on the type of light. I have a synthetic one (meaning it was grown in a lab) and this perfectly captures the purple shift of mine - in other light it leans blue. The natural stones are extremely expensive but the lab-grown ones (identical physically and chemically) are quite budget friendly!

Blue Topaz has holographic and blue glitters in a rich electric blue jelly base, shown with four thin coats. Blue Topaz the gemstone is quite popular. While pure topazes are colorless, different impurities lend them color. The blue ones are rare in nature but they can be produced by heat-treating or irradiating other colors of the gemstone.

Peridot features holographic and green glitters in a sheer peridot green jelly base, in four coats here. Peridot is the gem quality of olivine and is also known as the August birthstone.

Quartz has holographic glitter in a milky jelly base, which I wore in four thin coats. This one had a slight tendency toward streakiness. Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals and some forms of it are gem quality. While it is colorless in its pure state, impurities can render it in various shades, and some colored varieties are known as citrine, amethyst, and smoky quartz. Other colors can also be produced in lab grown specimens.

Rhodolite has holographic and pink glitters in a sheer dogwood rose jelly base, four thin coats shown here. Rhodolite is a form of pinkish garnet.

GG Indie Polish's glitters are priced at $8.50 for a full size. These launch on Friday, May 15. Any of you out there have any of these gemstones? See any you would like to try in polish form?
