Awesome Sauce Indie Box, July 2015 - Exotica

The Awesome Sauce Indie Box is back for July and even better than before! This month, the theme is Exotica, and the box is available with either full size products for $50 or minis for $27, including 5 polishes, a cuticle oil, and a travel sized lotion. Let's get started after the break...

Anonymous Lacquer Best Belize is a ultramarine linear holo with multichrome green-to-blue flakes. I have to say this is my favorite polish of the brand so far, and I have a lot! The depth is off the charts and the formula is lovely, with a quick dry time and smooth flow. I wore it in four thin coats for maximum punch, but fewer would work just as well for most people. This polish did have a slightly skunky aroma as some blue do, but by the time it was dry that went away.

Anonymous Lacquer also contributed one of the extra hand care products this month, a Jojoba Cuticle Oil. This had a fresh, lemon verbena type scent and I loved it! The oil absorbs well and is effective.

Aurora Lacquers Endless Sunset is peach creme-jelly with matte yellow and aqua pastel circle glitters and holographic microglitter. There was some settling of the glitter so it is not as apparent on the nail as in the bottle, but I like it better that way. It is delicate and the glitters peek out when you look. I wore this in four thin coats but fewer would do. Other than the glitter settling the base formula was great - smooth and non-streaky.

Ever After Polish Waianapanapa is a black scattered holo with holo microglitter and aqua microflakes for maximum bling! It is a stunner! It is opaque in two thin coats but that opacity does not dull down the elements at all. It dries a bit rough so if you want it smooth it will need top coat.

Lavish Polish Key to Paradise is a Caribbean green jelly with scattered holo, aqua holo hex glitter, and silver holo microglitter, worn here in four thin coats, with coverage in three. The larger glitters also settled a bit in this one, but as you can see there was still tons going on in the mani, so I would say it really doesn't affect it. It dries matte and slightly textured, but is shown here with top coat.

Vapid Lacquer Garota de Ipanema is a magical unicorn that will paint your nails on its own. Haha, seriously, it has one of the most amazing formulas I have ever used, super smooth, easy to control and quick drying. The color is a Byzantine purple with glowing golden sheen and the tiniest holo microglitters, worn here in three thin coats. It also dries matte and I top coated it.

Vapid Lacquer contributed the second hand care item in the box, The Girl From Ipanema Coconut, Papaya & Mango Shimmering Body Creme. As the name states, it does have a bit of shimmer, but nothing that will turn you into a vampire, of course. I would say the coconut scent dominates and it is nicely hydrating. The small bottle is perfect for travel so I will take it along with me on my trip to California next week.

That wraps up the Awesome Sauce Indie Box for July. The box goes on sale for pre-orders on Friday, July 17 at 5PM EDT and runs through July 24, so you have plenty of time to pick it up without restock panic. It is priced at $50 for all full sized bottles, or $27 for minis. The mini version has the same size lotion as I show you here but a smaller cuticle oil. Either way, it is a phenomenal value! Hope you see something you like here.
